Word & Deed Ministries is a Reformed humanitarian relief and development organization with the goal of improving the spiritual and physical lives of people in need in the developing world in accordance with biblical principles. We are seeking a full-time employee to assist us in carrying out our mission.
This role requires a cheerful Christian who is versatile, self-motivated, and a team player with excellent cross-cultural communication and computer skills. The successful applicant must have a love for the Reformed faith as well as a heart for reaching out to the needy in the developing world.
JOB DESCRIPTION: PROJECT MANAGER
LOCATION:
- Ontario or Michigan preferred; other locations considered.
RESPONSIBILITES:
Projects Department
- Working respectfully alongside international partners to help develop and implement local poverty alleviation initiatives.
- Monitoring and reviewing programs and working collaboratively with partners to enhance accountability and effectiveness.
- Ensuring that Word & Deed’s emphasis on gospel centrality, indigenous leadership and self-sufficiency is reflected in programs.
- Traveling to international partners to build relationships and monitor programs.
- Ensuring that all reports related to projects assigned are accurate and timely.
- Brainstorming, troubleshooting and mentoring indigenous leadership to build capacity locally.
Public Relations Department
- Developing and maintaining relationships with donors, including churches and individuals, speaking to groups of supporters, and writing for the magazine and social media.

- Salary and benefits commensurate with experience.

APPLICANT REQUIREMENTS:
- Member in good standing of a NAPARC (North American Presbyterian and Reformed Council) church and willing to subscribe in writing to the Bible, also as it is summarized in the Three Forms of Unity and/or the Westminster Standards.
- Demonstrated commitment to missions and evangelism at home and abroad.
- Ability to communicate comfortably and charitably with people from diverse backgrounds and cultures.
- Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience.
- Proficiency with MS Office and/or Google Suite.
- Self-motivated, disciplined, organized with friendly disposition.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Long-term commitment expected.
- Willingness to travel internationally.
ASSETS:
- Experience with volunteering with Word & Deed or other ministries
- Post-secondary education in Business or Humanities
- Bilingual (Spanish preferred)
