Along with the Lord’s blessing, this is what it took to pull off this year’s dinner tour! It was a joy for us to meet with so many of you and to share how the Lord is growing His kingdom all over the world.

Our first stop was in Wellington, ON where Rev Yonson Dethan from Indonesia spoke about how the message of the Gospel is being spread near and far in Indonesia, through the means of Christian education. Rev Dethan went on to speak in Grand Rapids (Michigan), Sioux Falls (South Dakota), Lynden (Washington), and Escondido (California).

Our next leg of this year’s Dinner Tour was based in Alberta. Juan Carlos Ramirez from Education Plus in Costa Rica shared about the very poor lifestyles of people living in shanty towns and the risks and opportunities that they are faced with on a daily basis. Some of you may remember Juan Carlos from previous year’s tours. It was a joy for us to present this message in Lethbridge, Calgary, Barrhead, and Edmonton.

The final leg of the tour featured keynote speaker Dr. Brian DeVries who serves at Mukhanyo Theological Seminary in South Africa. What a joy it was for us to hear about the hunger for theology among church leaders in Africa. We were also presented with the challenges of ministry in Africa and how we, as North Americans, have the opportunity to help further the message of hope and salvation found only in Jesus Christ.

Thank you to all of you who helped us to organize these events, to all of you who came out to hear these speakers, and to so many of you who continue to faithfully support the work of Word & Deed. It is a joy and an encouragement for us to witness this. May the Lord continue to bless His worldwide church, for His glory.
