Haiti Earthquake Update

We covet your continued prayers for the citizens of Southern Haiti impacted by the earthquake on August 14. An estimated 2,248 lives were lost, 12,700 injured, and 137,500 buildings damaged or destroyed. The economic loss is estimated at over one billion US dollars. Word & Deed is funding our partner Esperance Haiti as they reach out with food and temporary shelter, rebuild homes, and help re-establish businesses. This natural disaster came just one month after the assassination of Haiti’s president on July 7. In Port-au-Prince, where the Adoration Christian Centre is located, they felt the earthquake but damage in the city was minimal. Pray that the peace found in the Prince of Peace comforts many in Haiti.
