Rain Shortage Leading to Food Crisis in Kenya
Prayer request:
Both of our partners in Kenya, Christ Glory Center and the RTS Seminary, recently shared some concerning news with us. Due to a lack of rain last year and only short erratic rainfall so far this year, there is a fear of a low yield harvest. In some places, worms are eating some of the growing young shoots; this can be alleviated if there is more rain. A recent fuel shortage has compounded the situation even further. Many people, especially in the north, may succumb to hunger and disease from malnutrition in the coming months.
Please pray for rain and those who need these crops for food to survive. We go forward with this promise from Psalm 9:18,
For the needy shall not always be forgotten; The expectation of the poor shall not perish forever.
