Testimony

Due to a teacher’s strike and then COVID, schools in Costa Rica were shut down for a year and a half. Students in the shantytowns do not have access to computers and were unable to participate in online learning opportunities. Word & Deed’s partner, Education Plus (EP), started a program this past October to tutor these children. On February 8, 2021, schools in Costa Rica were able to open again but only for two hours per day, two days per week. Because of this limited opening, EP’s tutoring program will continue for the foreseeable future. Please continue to pray for the school programs that are continuing on a limited basis at this time.

Pictured here is a testimony from one of the program’s volunteers.
