Well Drilling in Kenya
In the Spring issue of our magazine, Dave Vander Meer wrote about his trip to Kenya and the lack of access to basic necessities for many people in that country. He mentioned the start of a new church and a pond in that area that served as the sole source of drinking water for thousands of people and animals alike. We are happy to report that since the writing of that article, two wells have been drilled; one on the new church property and another at a church close to that pond.
We are thankful to the Lord that the water quality is very good. The most important part of the project may be the signs placed by each well, which will be a way to present the community with the Gospel message whenever they come for water. The signs say: “Jesus answered, ‘Everyone who drinks this water will be thirsty again, but whoever drinks the water I give him will never thirst’” (John 4:13–14).
