The goal of this program is to prevent physical, sexual, and verbal harm to children both at home and in school. By training staff in Conviventia schools, teachers are equipped to recognize signs of abuse or identify critical relational issues within a student’s home. A local Christian counseling team, consisting of a chaplain, social worker, and psychologist, provides in-home counseling for families in need through 10–12 targeted sessions. This process focuses on family restoration through discipleship centered on the gospel. Each year, these local teams counsel approximately 70 families and conduct workshops for over 900 parents, fostering healthier relationships and stronger communities. This program has recently expanded to help indigenous Wayuu families in the northern desert region.
